I go to Newbury Street with my sister every Sunday just to browse around. I got the knot necklace I'm wearing from Madewell and popped it on while I was out today. You can buy other charms to add to it or just wear it alone. Hannah bought an adorable belt to go with her coat. I also had to bring in my legging jeans to Madewell because I ripped them this weekend. They are my second and very last pair so I have to make them last as long as I can because they've discontinued them. Don't worry though, I'm going to be writing a very strongly worded letter to the CEO, yeah... I'm going there! They are by far my favorite jeans I have every owned, I have to be aggressive haha.

I also stopped into Anthropologie, and boy was that a mistake. I had to hold myself back from purchasing everything in sight. I'm especially in love with all of their craft books, journals, mugs, and kitchen accessories. Just being in there makes me so excited to have a well decorated, cozy home someday.

It snowed! I shouldn't be surprised to see snow, but this winter has been oddly mild for New England. I met up with my sister Hannah at the Thinking Cup on Tremont Street. I had jasmine tea, pasta salad, and macaroons- all delish. I don't have words to describe how much I love taking pictures in Boston, someone always has to stop and comment. We were dying of laughter the entire time. What a picturesque, snowy, Boston day spent with my sister drinking tea and having laughs. It don't get much betta.

I hope your day is splendid!

retail therapy

When you're a college student and any little bit of extra cash is a blessing. I've been so stressed out lately and I couldn't even remember the last time I went shopping so I told my sister and my friend Kait to meet me on Newbury Street so we could hit up a couple of our favorite stores. We went into Urban Outfitters, Madewell, American Apparel and H&M. I finally bought two things I have been drooling over from AA, the Piqué Full Woven Skirt in black and the Pinpoint Oxford Round Collar Short Sleeve Button-Up Shirt in oxford blue. I also picked up the perfect party dress for my roommate's birthday party/housewarming party this weekend. I love getting dressed up, I can't wait!

meeting alexa chung

I met one of my biggest style inspirations- Alexa Chung. Madewell had a launch party at their store on Newbury street where Alexa Chung made an appearance. I went with my sister who is inspired by her just as much as I am. I felt like such a crazy little fan girl and that's totally not me. But ever since I saw Alexa on her show 'It's On With Alexa Chung' I've been mesmerized with her ability to mix preppy with grunge and thrift with designer labels, she does everything perfectly in my book when it comes to clothes. There were so many well-dressed people at the event, it was exciting to Boston embrace it's fashionable side for a couple hours. Everyone waited in a line to meet her and take a picture if they wanted. I was honestly shocked at how down to earth and funny she was. I knew that's how she was in interviews and on television, but you never know how people will truly act in real life. She was great. I told her that my roommate and I always say to each other that "we look so Alexa Chung" every time we get dressed. She found that funny and I told her she was my biggest style inspiration and she hit herself on the head kind of like she didn't believe me. I still can't believe how humble and wonderful she is. She was talking to all of us saying that she was getting inspiration from us for her next outfits- YEAH OK ALEXA!

stels x warby parker

Warby Parker glasses are now available at Stel's on Newbury Street. They had launch event that I went to with a couple of friends. I am a devout Warby Parker customer. Not only do they offer frames with perscription lenses for an affordable price ($95), but when you buy a pair they give a pair to someone in need. Definitely go check out their website. They have a virtual try-on program as well as a home-try on offer where they send 5 pairs of glasses for you to try on for a limited time free of charge.
